general information
Kindergarten offers a more formal or traditional school experience than preschool. NFUMC strives to make your child comfortable in this setting, while still allowing plenty of time for play, creativity, and social interaction as they begin to discover and ask questions about what interests them. There is more emphasis on beginning math and reading skills at this age, as well as an expectation for the child to take on more personal responsibility for themselves.
In addition to the basic Kindergarten expectations listed below, we want your child to know and love Jesus. Understanding how we are all a part of the Christian family informs how we treat others and the world that God has entrusted to us. NFUMC Preschool seeks to create good citizens and stewards of our homes, town, state, country and planet.
