All other 3yr, 4yr, and Kindergarten classes will have Grandparent’s Day on Friday, October 13. Your child’s teacher will be giving you more information about this special day. If a grandparent is unable to attend, we ask that a parent attend with the child, so every child will have someone with them.
Potato/Chili Dinner and Fall Festival
Our Potato/Chili Dinner and Fall Festival will be held Wednesday, October 25 from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. Games are played from 5:15-6:15. This is a FUN tradition for our preschool consisting of games and dinner! Please mark your calendars for this fun event! We serve baked potatoes and chili and hotdogs for the children. The preschool parent council members and I make the chili. Each class is assigned an item to send in for the dinner. More information will come to you about what item your class is assigned to send in and when!
TRICK OR TREAT AROUND THE SQUARE—October 31
Each 3yr, 4yr, or 5 year old class will gather at the time assigned by your teacher to go up town and walk around the square and get candy from all the merchants in town. We ask that each parent attend to hold your own child’s hand. The children have a GREAT time. We ask that NO costumes be worn. Your teacher will be sending you more information about this event.
OUR PRESCHOOL LIBRARY IS GROWING!!! Our 3’s 4’s and 5’s are visiting the library each week! Please take time to read your child the book he/she brings home! Send it back once you have read it and your child will be able to visit the library again! Many of you have sent in new books for our library and we THANK YOU!!! If you would like to donate a book in honor of your child, just send a book to your child’s teacher, we put a book plate in the front of the book and we add it to our library!
If you have not found a church home, I invite you to worship with us! We have 3 services and many Sunday school classes for you and your child. Visit our church website for more information about our services at www.newnanfumc.org. Rev. Charles Robinson, Rev. Maria Bowers, and Rev. JoAn Kinrade lead the services. Come join us!
Thank you, again, for your support of your teachers and the program!
Blessings to you!
